The Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Caravan Manufacturers Association (HERMCA) Caravan Extravaganza show for the public is set to take place on the 4^th and 5^th of September at The Lawns, Harland Way, Cottingham.  This is an annual show that occurs every September to introduce the new season’s caravans to both public and trade and is an event not to be missed if you are a fellow enthusiast.

The Lawns trade show takes place from the 7^th – 9^th September but the show is open to the public on the weekend prior to the trade show. This trade show is one of Europe’s largest caravan trade shows and can feature around 180 of the newest products including: holiday lodges, park homes and caravan holiday homes all made by British manufacturers. Supplies and services exhibitors also show their products such as awning steps, security products and soft furnishings. In the past the show has been known to attract up to 3,500 trade visitors from across the UK, Europe and Scandinavia!

The Caravan Extravaganza show is a brilliant day to spend with the family as there is a little something for everyone. There is an exciting funfair for the children, tempting food stalls offering both sweet and savoury products and lots of other entertainment to keep both grandchild and grandma occupied.

Here are some tips to consider before you head to the show:

-Look around: don’t get tempted by the first holiday lodge or caravan you see – do a circuit of the site then go back to manufacturers you are still interested in.

-Reference materials: pick up manufacturers brochures, leaflets and contact cards so that you can sit down at home later and have a good look at each one. Having a contact number and name will make it much easier when you want to place an order, so ask for these from each manufacturer.

-Know what you want: go to the show knowing what you’re looking for, when you want it and with a budget. This will help the manufacturers show you exactly what you want, saving time and not pushing you into a transaction you may later regret.

-Have fun: enjoy yourself and remember to take a coffee break to collect your thoughts and hopefully catch a bit of sunshine!
