Rishi Jaitly, Co-founder of Michigan Corps to Keynote at TiECon Midwest 2010
The New York native and former Google executive launched Michigan Corps, a national nonprofit intent on boosting Michigan’s economy and creating wealth for its residents.
Farmington Hills, MI, Oct. 21, 2010 -- The Detroit chapter of TiE (Talent, Ideas, Enterprise) today announced that Rishi Jaitly, founder and CEO of Michigan Corps, will deliver a keynote speech during the President’s Reception on Oct. 27, 2010 as a pre-cursor to the opening of TiECon Midwest 2010, Michigan’s largest conference on entrepreneurship to be held Oct. 28 and 29, 2010 at The Henry, Dearborn.
“The idea behind Michigan Corps is to help Michigan rebound from its economic troubles by investing in organizations focused on economic transformation and wealth creation in the state. The New York native and former Google executive launched Michigan Corps, a national nonprofit intent on boosting Michigan’s economy and creating wealth for its residents. He previously led government affairs and public-private partnerships for Google across South Asia. Rishi was Director of Strategic Partnerships and Public Policy at College Summit, America's premier nonprofit organization partnering with low-income schools nationwide to increase college enrollment rates. Previously, while based in Silicon Valley, Rishi supported Google's worldwide public policy advocacy efforts from Lansing to Paris, led Google’s philanthropic work with the United Nations, and supported communications for Google’s CEO. Earlier in his career, Rishi was a Trustee of Princeton University, and Commissioner of the New Jersey State Commission on Higher Education.
