Artist Eddie Alfaro, inspired by his three cats, Teac,

Reno, and Little Teac created the characters The Budda

Kats.  Then he set up a little MySpace.com webpage where he

put a few of his drawings.  Now, the Budda Kats have over

6,000 MySpace friends.  There is information about proper

cat care on his webpage, as well as more drawings.  He also
began creating animations featuring The Budda Kats.  Now,
Eddie gets hundreds of emails a day and more and more people come to The Budda Kats MySpace page.  People have left over 500 comments on the page, and have left pictures of their own cats.  Eddie also posts bulletins to The Budda Kats MySpace friends, featuring articles about cats. In one instance, a person that received one of the bulletins responded to a posted article and adopted six kittens from an animal shelter.

All this has happened in only one month, starting early April 2006.
