Local Entrepreneur Expands Concrete Business to Focus on Flooring

Nick Dancer is immersing himself in the Ft. Wayne business community, as the couple plans to make this their permanent home.

Ft. Wayne, IN, December 20, 2010 -- Local entrepreneur Nick Dancer may be young, but he has a lot of experience that is translating into an expanding, thriving concrete flooring business.

Dancer, 23, has expanded Nick Dancer Concrete to now specialize in concrete flooring. He is one of the only businesses in the region with this focus. His competitive advantages include high-quality work, professionalism and pricing.

Dancer and his wife, Alexis, are natives of Delphos, Ohio. They moved to Ft. Wayne about 18 months ago for Alexis to attend school. Nick Dancer is immersing himself in the Ft. Wayne business community, as the couple plans to make this their permanent home.

In the sluggish housing market, many homeowners are seeking to make home improvements that add value to their homes. Most residential customers want attractive concrete flooring for their finished basements, a room that is now a viable living area for many homeowners. Concrete flooring also is popular for garages and outbuildings.

Previously, Dancer primarily provided concrete countertops. As the popularity of concrete flooring has increased, he decided to use his diverse skills to tap into that market.

Concrete floor staining: Staining concrete can create rich organic colors. Stains and dyes are very versatile, allowing different looks that complement room design and function. Natural stone floors such as marble and granite cannot mimic the natural look that concrete offers, Dancer said.

Stained concrete overlays: These overlays allow for chipped and cracked concrete to look beautiful again. Overlays can be applied to existing concrete that has some flaws. Overlays are very strong, moisture-resistant and warrantied.

Concrete floor cleaning: Periodic cleaning protects the surface from rust stains, grime and algae buildup, extending the life of the floor.
