ShanghaiTex's Silver Jubilee - The Market Place for The Most Advanced Textile Machinery

The International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex) is celebrating the 25th Anniversary in the upcoming 14th edition to be staged from 12 - 15 June 2009 in Shanghai New International Expo Center.

As the most historical textile industrial exhibition in China history, ShanghaiTex has become a precious national brand. Starting from 1984, ShanghaiTex is being held biennially in the odd-numbered years. Over the past 25 years, the Show has been providing a professional trading platform for the most influential textile machinery markers and also the textile industry. As a widely recognized key marketplace, ShanghaiTex' upcoming 14th edition - it's silver jubilee, will be the best platform for showcasing the state-of-the-art textile machinery and a wide-array of related accessories in 2009.

Amidst of the rapid market change, ShanghaiTex is continuously developing into a market-oriented trading platform. With tremendous growth of textile industry in China through the past decades, "Textile Factory of the World" is a title directly revealing China's state of play.

According to the latest Chinese custom statistic, the apparel export value in the first quarter of 2008 reached 37.44 billion US dollars, recorded a 19.5% growth in compare with the same period of 2007. Nevertheless, the increasing cost of raw material and labor force is cooling down the development.

After 8 years of rapid growth, Chinese product can no longer rely on low selling price in the competition. In order words, the era of high quality production with modern technology arrives. While deeply understanding the critical needs for advanced machinery, ShanghaiTex2009 will provide versatile platform for exhibitors to exhibit their products with leading technology, which the textile manufacturers are craving for.

The Organizers are fully utilizing 11 halls in Shanghai New International Expo Center in ShanghaiTex2009, expecting an exhibition area of over 120,000sqm and the participation of 1,500 exhibitors. Theme zones will be established for visitors’ convenience as follows: Knitting & Hosiery Machinery Zone, Printing, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery Zone, Textile Chemicals Zone, Spinning, Nonwoven & Techtextile Machinery Zone, Weaving Machinery Zone and Spare Parts & Accessories Zone.

In 2007, the 13th edition of ShanghaiTex, 108,204 visitors flow was recorded. Visitors were from 42 countries or regions around the world while delegations from India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Syria, Turkey, UAE and Vietnam had been received. In ShanghaiTex’s silver jubilee, more potential buyers and delegations will be invited to ensure the generation of the concrete economic benefit.
